Local Authority Household Rubbish Collection
The 3 different coloured wheely bins are collected on a weekly rotation from the kerbside. Please put your bins out before 7am on your collection day.
Blue Bins, for the paper and Card.
Green Bins, for the daily household rubbish.
Brown Bins, for the garden rubbish.
Black Box, is placed on the kerbside along with the Blue and Brown wheely bins.
The box is for Food Tins,
Empty Glass Bottles and Drinks Cans.
The residents can also take excess rubbish to the community recycling site. There is also a wheely bin cleaning service van. Will update information on this service later. Do you know?
The Towns Community Recycling Station
Located in Sainsburys Supermarket, Car Park. Located on Rigg Street. The Large black containers are for Green,Clear and Brown Glass.

The council have now added a container for household Plastics.
The other blue containers are for, paper, cardboard, newspapers along with all the junk mail that comes pouring through our letter boxes on a daily basis. There is also a bin for the plastic milk and drinks bottles.
Around July 2007, Capability Scotland placed a Purple container on site, for recycling Textile material.
Eriskine Charity Shop.
Located on Lainshaw street at the traffic lights
This faciltiy is run by
Betty Bennett and Nancy Flemming and all proceeds are given to The Eriskine Group, who take care of our war veterens.
The ladies have a large stock of household Brac-a-Brac, Furniture and Books. They open the shop Monday to Saturday mornings.
